ispo Awards 09 honor trends and innovations from the ski, board, and outdoor segments
ispo not only is the world's largest sporting goods trade show, but also a stage for trends as well as an innovation driver. As in prior years many exciting new products are expected to be unveiled at the ispo winter 2009.
The ispo honors the most innovative new developments with a number
of awards. The ispo Outdoor Awards, European Ski Awards, and the ispo
Boardsports Awards are divided into several categories, such as
Outerwear, Hardware, Safety Equipment, or Accessories. The submitted
products are judged by an international jury according to the criteria
Function/Quality, Innovation, User Friendliness, and Design.
The
winning products are introduced to the international press at the ispo
on snow Preview, as well as exhibited at the ispo winter 09 from February 1st to the 4th, 2009.
ispo winter 09 launches first Eco Responsibility Award
As a first at ispo winter 09, the trade show organizers created the new Eco Responsibility Award! The focus is on the critical subjects of sustainability, ecology, and environmental awareness! The award will honor extraordinary product innovations, which deem sustainability not just a new lifestyle, but fully endorse ecology in all aspects: from production, processing, material use to environmentally friendly transport options and packaging solutions.
The international award will be presented to products from the
categories Hardware, Textile, Footwear, and Accessories. A qualified
jury will determine the winners in mid-January; the awards will be
presented during ispo winter 09.

The ispo
fashion shows are providing the outstanding oppurtunity to present the
state-of-the-art fashion trends to the press and trade visitors. The
professional choreographed fashion shows are showcasing the up-to-date
outdoor and boardsports trends and are meeting point
for numerous trade visitors and reporting mediums.
ispo Best Ager Gallery: Sample Shop, Fashion Show and Top Brands
For the fourth time ispo winter presents the ”ispo Best Ager Gallery” marketplace. A 225 square meter exhibition platform takes the Best Ager segment to a new level. The project involves the setup of a sample shop according to criteria that have already proved themselves in other sectors. The sample shop also offers the perfect environment for exhibitors pioneering this growth market with their products. The scheduled Best Ager fashion show is an appealing innovation.
The new styles enter the catwalk with fresh and
vibrant colors instead of old and gray looks. Additionally, the
supporting program will offer panel discussions with experts from
other business sectors, who will speak about their experiences in this
segment.
As a unique and centralized information platform on the topic of
Best Ager in sports, the Gallery offers industry experts and media
representatives a comprehensive overview of the current and future
market situation. Why not use the opportunity to present your

The ispo winter 09, International Trade Fair for Sports Equipment and Fashion,
will take place from February 1 to 4, 2009 for the 69th time. At this point in
time, the entire Neue Messe München exhibition space is booked up. As a
result, the organizers of the upcoming ispo winter 09 are expecting record
attendances. “We are really enthusiastic about the current registration status.
We consider this development as trend-setting, and it shows a great amount of
market acknowledgement and acceptance of our concept,” enthused Tobias Gröber,
Head of ispo Group.
European Fashion Award - Fash 2009 - under the title "New Diversity"
A new hybrid fashion is presenting designers with a great challenge. How can you design variety instead of uniformity, collages instead of decals, flexible offers instead of rigid styles and still create a clear design statement? What do new, visionary strategies for fashion in the 21st century look like? The European Fashion Award – FASH 2009 – is searching for answers under the title “New Diversity”.
FASH is open to design students of all disciplines in the fourth
semester or higher from all over Europe. There is also a category for
graduates. Interdisciplinary submissions are expressly requested.

In the last few years the team, founded by Joachim Franz in 1999, has
managed to build up a level of conveyance for the difficult topic of
HIV/AIDS through sport. "Sport communicates, develops and reflects!"
The Team Joachim Franz follow this motto every year with a new idea
that always hit the headlines.
In the last few years the team, founded by Joachim Franz in 1999, has
managed to build up a level of conveyance for the difficult topic of
HIV/AIDS through sport. "Sport communicates, develops and
reflects!" The Team Joachim Franz follow this motto every year with a
new idea that always hit the headlines. Six successful, but completely
different expeditions have been organised and carried out. How much
strength must people have that can follow such a path?
The ispo Group stands for sport, but also for all the values
that are communicated by sport, so it was only a matter of time before
the ispo Group and the Team Joachim Franz joined forces, a
fact hailed by the highest instances as a "best practise project".
The Team is partner of the United Nations UNAIDS and started in 2007
under the patronage of the Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel.
We are very happy that we can present our partnership and future
expeditions within the framework of the ispo events in the
coming years.
In Focus: Sustainability - Did you know...
...that the trade fair grounds of the New Munich Trade Fair Centre are based on a pioneering ecology concept, with which we are able to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 7,000 tons per year? Among other things, this concept includes spacious landscaped areas of 125,000 sq. m. - 20,000 sq. m. of trees, 70,000 sq. m. of bushes and 35,000 sq. m. of green areas on roofs - as well as 10,000 sq. m. of created ecological compensation areas. >>more information
